All runners will be informed of their runner numbers by Midday Friday 2nd June
All runners must register at the Registration desks in the race headquarters at Histon & Impington Recreation Ground Centre to collect their race numbers and timing chips from the registration team from 8am to 9.00am ( Quarter marathon runners must collect their numbers by 8.45am )
Please go to the appropriate registration desk dealing with your start time. Race numbers will be filed numerically.
Race numbers should be pinned on the front of each runner to ensure your time can be recorded at the finish. Safety pins will be provided. Please allow sufficient time before the race start to collect your number.
Please write details of any medical conditions on the reverse side of your runner number
Minimum age entries
Half marathon – 17 years of age on day of event
Quarter marathon 14 years of age on day of event
On the day registration : ‘No on the day registrations will be available ‘
The race start for both runs will take place in College Road Impington which is 250 metres from Histon & Impington Recreation Ground and reached by using the pedestrian crossing on the B1049. Marshalls will be on hand to provide directions. All runners will be required at start ten minutes before the start of the race at 10am.
Please note – use of personal audio equipment is strictly prohibited. If you are found to be using any such equipment you may be disqualified from the run.
Staggered start times
To ensure runner congestion is reduced at the point where the race route joins the Guided Busway Bridleway at Impington Station there will be two staggered start times for each run
Wave 1 at 9.30am – we would request that runners sub 2 hours for a half marathon register for this start time
Wave 2 at 9.35am
Runners in will be allocated unique race numbers ie
Wave 1 – 9.30am Numbers 1-325 (Runners under 2 Hour )
Wave 2 – 9.35am Numbers 326-650
Wave 1 at 9.40am – we would request that runners sub 1 hour for 10k register for this start time
Wave 2 at 9.45am
Runners in will be allocated unique race numbers ie
Wave 1 – 9.40am Numbers 651-900 ( Runners under 1 hour )
Wave 2 – 9.45am Numbers 901-1150
The race start is in College Road, Impington

Three water stations will be positioned at approximately three mile intervals round the race courses
The race route includes the Bridleway along the Cambridge Guided Busway, please run on the designated part of the Bridleway. Under no circumstances must any runners run on the Busway track and anyone found doing this will be disqualified immediately
The race courses does contain a number of road crossings, Traffic lights will provide assistance at these crossing points and all runners are requested to exercise care at these road crossing points.
The race finish is at Histon & Impington Recreation Ground. After crossing the finish line please stay in finish order in the funnel, and collect your drink and fruit plus race medal memento and for half marathon runners an event T shirt.
The race will have chip timing however even the best systems in the world can go wrong so our volunteers will be running the same system we have used in previous years.
The run is staffed by volunteers and, while all effort will be made to record finish times, the organising group take no responsibility for failure to record times accurately.
Please wear you race number on the front of your t-shirt or vest to make easier for your time to be noted.
Presentation of prizes
The presentation of prizes will take place at the Recreation Ground as close as possible to 11.30am
Provisional results will be available on the The Flaming June Half Marathon website from the evening of Sunday 4th June.
Parking is available at Histon Football Club and on the Vision Park, Histon
Cars will not be allowed to park at the Recreation Ground
Changing, toilets and baggage
There are toilets for male and female runners at the race headquarters which also has a disabled toilet. There are separate male and female communal changing facilities at the Recreation Ground Centre and available on prior request
A designated manned area for the deposit of valuables and baggage will be provided in a dedicated marquee on the Recreation Ground . All baggage and valuables are left at the owner’s risk.
The race organisers will not take any responsibility for any losses or damage incurred.
First Aiders from Private Ambulance will be on hand at the race headquarters to assist and at the course half way station as well as a cycle response unit. Please note you should seek medical advice from your local GP if you are in any doubt as to your health in competing in this event. The organisers will not be held responsible for any injury, accident, loss or damage that may arise before, during or after the event as a consequence of a competitor’s participation in the race.
Any child that becomes separated from their parents will be taken to the information desk at the race headquarters in the Histon & Impington Recreation Ground Centre.
Hot and cold drinks, bacon rolls and tuck will be available at the Recreation Ground Centre from 9.00am to 12.30am
Pictures may be used on the Friends of the Rec website & Social Media Websites, in advertising material and media write-ups

If the event is cancelled for any reason refunds will not be made but a 50% discount to entry will be provided to the 2018 The Flaming June Half Marathon
